Great Mirrors! A Worth the Read if deciding wether to but these or another
I typically don’t do reviews anymore for although I should, I can’t find the time - blah. BUT…I was so impressed with these mirrors (and seller) that I needed to review. To begin, I have my ORIGINAL (me only owner), bought off showroom floor, 1986 Honda VF-500 Interceptor, 20k miles and close to showroom still (She’s my baby). Most all parts are original, less the stuff you burn through on this model bike (snap easy white metal levers, Monday morning design rear blinker stems, etc). So aside from a replacement shield in 88 (from a non accident - not me), the OEM mirrors are not that great and kinda wore out from being a cheap design. Back 20 years ago when I had to replace them…and OEM verses aftermarket price was FAR FAR apart…and they ‘were only mirrors’, I (regretfully now) decided to get aftermarket. THIS was worse little pebble in my boot! They sucked…and back 20 years ago…there was not much to choose from that “looked Interceptor ready”. THEN about a couple of weeks ago I decide to “cruise the Internet” in search of OEM mirrors - YA RIGHT! Type my bike in a search bar and see what comes up…jack poop. So I said to myself “revisit considering aftermarket but be more careful”. After doing my now typical “deep investagaive research dig” on new replacement mirrors that look, feel, mount & function the WAY I WANT…I came accoss a pair that fielded as my final pic lineup. They were sold by VIPCYCLE. The price was right, the seller seemed quality and all signs read “buy me”. The day the package arrived, despite my intense research, I had already lowered my expectations. When I opened the box and held / felt the quality…I was reinvigorated. I carefully, properly, easily and accurately put them on to my “standards”. To sum up how I felt after installation, adjustment ease & use…Freak’n Awesome! I’m impressed. Easy install, tough but sleek (low profile), super adjustability, true to staying put, range of view, very cool look and more…all met my high standards were met. I am OK with the mirrors not being exact OEM…as I said the OEM mirrors always were a ‘poor design’…so these mirrors should have been used on the production line originally! In close of this extra long review… If your situation is anything like mine…then you found a winning set of mirrors:) PS…High grade to VIP also! Mike D
